Working area.

The Mach 1 has two 17" long arms that give it a 68" diameter working area measured from the pivot point of the first arm. The Mach 1 has full 360 degree coverage over this range excluding a small portion near the hard stop pictured with the dashed line below.

Processes.

The table below describes specifications related to the Oxy-Fuel and Plasma attachments. The Oxy-Fuel attachment always comes with the standard torch, and the heavy-duty torch can be purchased separately. The Plasma attachment does not come with a plasma cutter or torch, cutting specifications are provided for an 85 amp plasma cutter for comparison purposes.

Universal Arm.

All Mach 1s include the Universal Arm which holds tooling in a fixed position perpendicular to the arm. The standard Universal Arm can hold most torches and tools, and a grip extender can be added to increase the maximum diameter to account for wider torches like the Hypertherm Powermax 125 or Maxpro200 machine torches.

Sabre arm.

The Sabre is what takes the machine from 3 degrees of freedom to 5. The Sabre allows you to manually set the torch at an angle with respect to the Mach 1. When connected to the Mach 1, the entire Sabre head automatically rotates to achieve complicated bevel cuts at the fixed angle.

Oxy-fuel torch.

When an Oxy-Fuel attachment is purchased either as a standalone item, or part of a Mach 1 Oxy-Fuel Kit, the standard S-100 Koike torch is included. Any 3 barrel oxy-fuel torch can be used with the Mach 1, and for applications where a longer reach or thicker plate is needed, it's recommended to purchase the Heavy Duty Oxy-Fuel Torch.
