About CN-Seamless
We Got an A.
The Mission
Build tools for the hands using them.
A tool that looks good on paper and one people actually reach for are two very different things.
There's no shortage of powerful machines. But most are built to hit a spec sheet, not for the welder in the field or the fabricator on the shop floor. The impressive system that's slow to set up and hard to learn ends up collecting dust while people go back to what they know works.
We start with a different question: how does the job get done today, and what would make it easier without a week of training or a manual nobody reads? Answering that question with stellar product design and intuitive controls is what we do.
The Idea
Born on the steel mill floor.
The inspiration for CN-Seamless came from the service department of a steel mill, where operators struggle daily to fabricate custom parts without the right equipment. The work got done, but by hand, the hard way, because nothing on the market fit the job.
The gap between what tradespeople do and the tools they're handed became our obsession. The Mach 1 is our first answer: CNC-precision cutting that goes to the work instead of making the work come to it.
The Origin
A Capstone Project.
In 2021, the founders spent their senior year at NC State University on an engineering entrepreneurship capstone project. The prompt was simple: write down all the pain points you've experienced, brainstorm solutions, and choose one that has business and technical merit.
The founders recruited each other, discovered they had highly complementary skillsets, and were equally invested in seeing how far they could stretch a $2,000 budget to develop a prototype of what would eventually become the Mach 1.
Following the final class presentation, Josh, Sam, and Dario met at their go-to taco shop and agreed this wouldn't be the end of CN-Seamless. And yes, we got an A.
The Future
What's Next.
When the polished version of the Mach 1 found its way to social media, word spread fast. The fabricators who took a chance on us early created a flywheel that led customers small and large, domestically and internationally, directly to our website.
The Mach 1 platform put us on the map and allowed us to build a team focused on developing products that are the future of fabrication. Every job done by hand that deserves a machine is on the list.

Why it caught on
We didn't run big ad campaigns. Fabricators saw the Mach 1 work, and told each other.
